Features of the Scarlett Static Compactor 180-3

The ideal choice for medium capacity Transfer Stations in New Zealand. The Scarlett Static Compactor 180-3 incorporates the latest in design and technology. Some of these features are listed below.

Frame Design

Incorporation of the entire Hydraulic system including tank and motor within the frame of the Compactor, not only does this save space but it also makes for easier installation requiring only underground conduit for electrical and control services not hydraulic lines. Easy access for servicing of hydraulics is provided through underneath and removable top panel on main Compactor Body. The local control panel is accessible through a lockable flap at the rear of the compactor.

Durable Materials

Wear Guides

The Compactor Piston has UHMWPE plastic wear strips on either side and on the bottom. When replacement is required they are easily unbolted and replaced.

Vickers Hydraulics

The hydraulic system is using all Vickers Components with a Vane Pump and a CTop7 valve. All hosing and fittings are Aeroquip. Both these products are of extremely high standards and are serviceable world wide. The benefits of using Vickers Hydraulics are long term performance smooth quiet running. Vickers Hydraulics provide proven performance and reliability.

Installation

On sight fitting to place the Compactor into the correct position and drill the concrete. 12 only 20mm liebig-anker bolts. The Hopper mounts to the pit face are of 100 x 100 x 10 angle iron bolted to the pit face and the hopper extension welded to the angle iron on sight after assembly of the Hopper to the Compactor

Pendant Control

The Pendant Control is constructed of an unbreakable plastic with all the buttons recessed into it. It has a flexible power control cable which plugs into the Compactor. The operator will be able to start the Automatic function of the compactor and also be able to switch the Compactor to manual override for the final pressing of the waste into the Compactor. The Pendant also has an emergency stop switch.

Compactor 180 Hopper Specifications

  • 6mm Steel Plate
  • Reinforced with Mild Steel Gussets

Installation

On site fitting - In order to avoid the possibility of gaps between the concrete- work and the hopper, the final fixing is by welding as detailed in drawing ref. TSDAC01A Transfer Station Fixings.
